Holy Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Inglewood, California recently acquired a "new" Hammond Model RT-2 organ to replace their aging Hammond Model CV. The RT-2 was purchased from Adam Palek of Fulsom, California, who also delivered and installed it.

This Hammond RT-2 has quite a prestigious lineage: One of its previous owners was none other than theatre organ legend George Wright who used it in his home and who commissioned the custom, ornate music rack for it.

The synth sitting atop the RT-2 console is a Roland D-70 which we acquired several years ago and used with the old CV. The D-70 is a superb instrument that offers a vast array of beautiful sounds and sampled orchestral instruments. It complements the Hammond in a very fine way.

We utilize a wide variety of music at Holy Trinity, ranging from classical and traditional liturgical, to contemporary gospel music and spirituals. Thus, the Hammond finds a very useful and welcome place in our collection of instruments including a pipe organ, the Hammond, a concert grand piano, two Roland synthesizers, drums, tambourines, and, occasionally, a theremin!

We are very happy with the new organ, and are very appreciative of Mr. Palek's kind and generous nature -- without which it would not have been possible for us to obtain this fine instrument.

Following are a few photos. Enjoy!
